Crane Pumps & Systems, a Crane Co. Company, is excited to announce an extension of the BLADE grinder pump line to include explosion proof (XGV) and non-explosion proof (NGV) options. Backed by the dependability and longevity of the Barnes reputation in submersible pumping, BLADE grinder pumps are Barnes solution to high head waste water grinding applications in commercial and municipal environments.
BLADE NGV and XGV grinder pumps are available in 3-, 5-, 7.5-, 10-, and 15-horsepower models with 2-, 2.5-, and 3-inch discharge sizes.
All BLADE pumps are equipped with patented Barnes Slicerator™ technology, an innovative radial cutting grinding technology in the market. The shredding ring and cutter are made of 440C stainless steel with a hardness of 55 HRC. At 172,500 grinding cuts per minute, BLADE grinder pumps shred all solids found in the waste stream like rags, ropes, cloth, diapers, and napkins.

BLADE grinder pumps are available with a plethora of features and options including dual/tri-voltage motors, single phase and three phase models, three different seal material options, and four cord length options. In addition, the efficient operation of the Barnes Slicerator™ radial cutting technology reduces torque required to process solids. The hardened stainless steel cutting blades placed in a staggered position against a cutting ring provides a unique design to prevent clogging due to particularly troublesome solids like plastics, strings, ropes, sanitary napkins, disposable diapers and cloth materials.
