SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC
Altivar 212® Mobile Programming Applicationand Apple iPad® Converter Cable
Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announces the new Altivar 212 mobile programming application and drive to iPad converter cable, which allow users to perform all Altivar™ 212 and S-Flex™ drives programming through Apple iPads. The application contains simple menu-driven parameter sets that walk users through the drive configuration process. Digitizing the start-up and programming of a drive streamlines the process, allowing customers to store pertinent drive information in a single location, and facilitates a standard drive configuration throughout a facility. Links to YouTube® start- up videos and other multimedia help tools are also provided for the user to obtain instruction on proper set up and maintenance of the drive equipment. The Altivar 212 mobile programming application can be downloaded for free from the Apple iTunes® store.
THE BILCO COMPANY
Type SV Single Leaf Automatic Smoke Vents
The Bilco Company’s Type SV Single Leaf Automatic Smoke Vents, available with a metal cover or a domed polycarbonate cover for natural daylighting, have received UL approval per the UL 793 standard for Automatically Operated Roof Vents for Smoke and Heat. As with all Bilco smoke vent products, the Type SV Single Leaf is designed to open automatically in the event of a fire to remove smoke, heat and toxic gases from a burning building. This improves inside air quality and visibility inside the building to allow occupants to escape safely and firefighters to get in to do their job. Smoke vents are ideally suited for buildings with large expanses of unobstructed space such as factories, warehouses, auditoriums and retail facilities. For more information on Bilco’s complete line of automatic smoke vents, as well as other Bilco specialty access products, call 800.366.6530 or visit www.bilco.com.
