The American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Board of Directors has selected T.J. Stroebl from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, as the AWWA’s next president-elect. The board also selected AWWA’s three vice presidents during its annual winter meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Stroebl will begin his term as president-elect in June at the conclusion of AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE26). His term as president begins in June 2027 following that of current President-Elect Brent Tippey.
Stroebl is the market development leader for Kurita America, the U.S. arm of the global Kurita Group, providing water treatment solutions in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An active member of the Minnesota Section since joining AWWA in 2007, Stroebl served on AWWA’s Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and chaired the Manufacturers/Associates Council from 2022-25.
The Board selected the following three vice presidents: Amy McLeod, project manager at Jacobs in Ridgeland, Mississippi; Chris Wheland, authority administrator at the Clifton Park Water Authority in New York; and Mike Worlton, area director for Black and Veatch in Phoenix, Arizona.
